ABOUT US

History

The Ladybird Pre-school opened in 1994 as a community project between three village playgroups and Cottenham Parish Council. The Parish Council provided a new building and the three playgroups amalgamated to form the Ladybird Pre-school. We are an established member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and have a well-earned reputation for offering high quality childcare. Our emphasis is on friendly interactive education tailored to each individual child’s needs, which in 2009 was recognised by the Nursery World Pre-school of the Year Competition, a national award in which we were the Highly Commended runners up. In September we were one of six settings to be shortlisted under the category ‘Enabling Enviroments’.

Come and see the difference

We welcome visits from parents of prospective children.  We are located next to Cottenham Primary School, on King George’s Playing Fields, Lambs Lane.  A lane next to the Primary School leads to a car park, and we are located in the main building, following the path to the left past the Sports and Social Hall. If you have difficulty finding us, please call on 01954 250891.
